#OOTD Post: Styling Gingham

To me, nothing screams ‘Summer!’ more than picnic prints and utilizing hands-free carriers – this was definitely not the summer of holding bags.

I had originally envisioned this look with a background full of sunflowers, but when that plan fell through, it was time to get creative! My friends and I visited the beautiful Dundurn Castle in Hamilton for a regal background.

So here’s the outfit breakdown:

The gingham dress is from Zaful! It was 21$ when I bought it, but the price seems to change regularly. It’s great quality and the material is stretchy enough to accommodate a food baby while still sucking everything in.

The crossbody bag was really hard to find! I’d been looking for one for a few months but I really was not down to spend 50+ dollars on one. So I turned to Wish for a cheap option. It took forever to ship but you get what you pay for!

My sneakers are these cute platforms I found at H&M – they were on sale for 15$, so suffice it to say, it was an instant cop. They are adorable and they go with everything! However, since they were on sale, they may not be available anymore.

For accessories, I put on some sunnies from Urban Outfitters and some super simple jewelry – basic gold hoops and a chain necklace with a small gold circle pendant.

What are your thoughts on this look? And what’s the song of the summer? Let me know below.
