So it’s been a while. October was a crazy month for me, what with midterms and other schoolwork. The break was unintentional but entirely necessary, and now I’m back and better than ever. I was definitely keeping up on the fashion front, though, so let’s start off slow by talking about some of the things I loved this month!
FASHION FAVES:
Let’s start with fashion since that’s what we like best here! One of my favorite tops this month was the Alyssa Sheer Top from Chickaberry Boutique. I love that this top incorporates mesh (which you know I love) and also florals, which are a nice contrast from the edgier pieces in my wardrobe. You already know that I’ve been loving the business-wear trend! I’ve been putting my printed coats and blazers to good use, but I’ve also been obsessed with these plaid pants I picked up from Brandy Melville. They are so comfy and they easily dress up a casual look… like in this outfit, below.

Another piece of this outfit that I’ve been loving? My custom denim jacket from New Vintage (ournewvintage on Instagram). This was easily the best birthday gift I received and I’ve been wearing it non-stop. I love layering it over hoodies and pairing it with my Docs for a casual-meets-edgy, street style look.

My Instagram photos might say otherwise, but I actually haven’t ONLY been wearing my Docs this month. I also picked up this amazing pair of black heeled booties from Le Chateau. They’re super comfortable and they always look sleek.
My last fashion favorite for the month was definitely fall layers. Obviously, layering is essential for cozy fall fits, but I’ve been playing around with the pieces I choose to layer and loving the results. Let me know if you’d like to see a post about how to create the perfect fall layers.
ACCESSORY FAVES:
So, two pieces I’ve been loving this month are actually both from cute little online boutiques. First, these half-moon sunnies that you’ve seen on not only me but most of my friends. They attract the fashion-minded. These are from Chickaberry Boutique, so don’t sleep on the code I mentioned earlier.

The second piece is this Claire de Lune choker from Mystical Rose Jewelry. Now, I will say that shipping took forever and a half, but the piece is adorable and I’ve been having so much fun layering it with other chokers and necklaces. I do have a code for it as well, and it’s ‘raye10’!
MAKEUP FAVES:
Lately, I’ve been getting really into experimenting with makeup. I picked up the Huda Beauty Precious Stones palette in Ruby. I love red tones for the fall and winter, so this palette is going to be the star of pretty much every eyeshadow look I do for the next few months.
